Mazda North American Operations Executives

As executive vice president of Mazda North American Operations (MNAO), Ryuichi Umeshita is responsible for overseeing U.S. operations. Umeshita entered his current role in April 2021.

Umeshita has been with Mazda for more than 30 years. Prior to his current role, he served as executive officer, where he led brand enhancement, global marketing, sales, and customer service. Umeshita has also previously served as general manager in product planning, product strategy, and customer service.

Umeshita earned his Bachelor of Science in Material Engineering from Tokyo University. He now resides in Southern California.
