The 2016 Mazda3 and the 2016 Mazda6 have earned top honors on the Consumers Digest “Best Buys” list for 2016. The Mazda3 was selected in the “Compact Cars” category, while the Mazda6 was named one of the best “Family Cars.”

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced that three of its vehicles have been named as “2016 Top Safety Pick+” recipients by the nonprofit Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The Hispanic Motor Press has honored Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) with best-in-segment awards for 2016, naming the 2016 CX-3 as the best subcompact crossover and the 2016 MX-5 Miata the best sports car.

MNAO today reported November U.S. sales of 22,732 vehicles, representing an increase of 7.0-percent versus last year. Year-to-date (YTD), Mazda has sold 289,890 vehicles, a 3.2-percent increase compared with last year.

Two years ago, MNAO threw down the gauntlet, pitting Mazda employees against Mazda dealers in the longest endurance race in America, the National Auto Sport Association’s (NASA) 25 Hours of Thunderhill.

Car and Driver magazine has named the 2016 Mazda3 and MX-5 Miata to its annual 10Best vehicle awards, continuing Mazda’s strong showing as the only automaker to have taken two spots on the list each year for the last three years.

The five-race major event season in 2015 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca contributed $62.1 million to the Monterey County economy through direct trip spending of non-County visitors and produced $5.2 million in state and local taxes, according to a research study commissioned by the Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP) and completed by California State University Monterey Bay.

Customers who purchase or lease a new Mazda during the Mazda Drive for Good® event running from November 23 through January 4 will be able to designate $150 to one of these four national nonprofits or 46 local organizations.
