Car and Driver magazine has named the 2016 Mazda3 and MX-5 Miata to its annual 10Best vehicle awards, continuing Mazda’s strong showing as the only automaker to have taken two spots on the list each year for the last three years.

The five-race major event season in 2015 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca contributed $62.1 million to the Monterey County economy through direct trip spending of non-County visitors and produced $5.2 million in state and local taxes, according to a research study commissioned by the Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP) and completed by California State University Monterey Bay.

Customers who purchase or lease a new Mazda during the Mazda Drive for Good® event running from November 23 through January 4 will be able to designate $150 to one of these four national nonprofits or 46 local organizations.

This 2.5-liter direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine powers the all-new CX-9 midsize three-row crossover SUV that will go on sale starting from North America in spring 2016.

This year, five Mazda vehicles took the top spots in their respective categories on the Consumer Guide Automotive Best Buys list.

The 2016 Mazda3 has been awarded “Most Loved Vehicle” in the small car segment by analysis organization Strategic Vision’s Customer Love Index Report.
