Mazda North American Operations Executives
James Lievois is the Executive Vice President (EVP) for Mazda North American Operations (MNAO), overseeing sales, service and marketing, and sales operations. In addition, he is responsible for directing business strategy, financial planning, treasury, accounting, tax, administration and information technology for MNAO – including operations in the U.S. and Mexico. He was appointed to his current position in January of 2018 and reports directly to Masahiro Moro, President and CEO of MNAO.
In his role, Lievois is responsible for implementing a customer-centric approach that is innovative, forward-thinking and technologically advanced, in order to deliver a positive Mazda brand experience at every touchpoint along the company’s customers’ journey, from research through ownership and back again to repurchase.
With more than 35 years in the automotive industry, Lievois has held a number of management positions in finance, treasury and administration. Following 16 years at Ford Motor Company, he joined MNAO in 1997, as has held the titles of Director of Finance Treasury and Administration, Vice President of Finance Treasury and Administration and Senior Vice President and CFO, before being promoted to his current role as EVP.
Born in Detroit in 1957, Lievois graduated with a B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University in 1980 and received an MBA in 1982 from the University of Detroit.
