Mazda CX-5 Named Best Midsize Crossover for families by Parents Magazine and Edmunds.com

Parenting experts from Parents magazine and automotive experts from Edmunds.com recently named the all-new 2017 CX-5 as their Best Midsize Crossover on their list of 10 Best Family Cars of 2017. The CX-5 was praised for its combination of value, performance, safety and family-friendly features.

Families no longer have to compromise safety for performance or creature-comfort features for an elegant design. The CX-5 is a vehicle that sets itself apart from the competition, and, starting at an MSRP[1] of just $24,045, the CX-5 reaffirms that families can have it all.

“For 2017, we completely redesigned the CX-5 and made more family-friendly improvements,” said Tetsu Nakazawa, Mazda North American Operations vehicle line manager for the CX-5. “We even engineered the rear doors to open wider from the previous model year to allow for easier child-seat loading and unloading. Being recognized by Parents magazine and Edmunds is an honor and it attests to our commitment of making a great vehicle that fits a variety of lifestyles.”

Since the first-generation model went on sale back in 2012, CX-5 has been widely praised for its quality, sophisticated design, craftsmanship and impeccable handling. The newly redesigned 2017 CX-5 has a premium interior with a hushed cabin and smoother ride, providing the perfect setting for any passengers longing for an undisturbed nap. Proactive safety and i-ACTIVSENSE technologies such as Blind-Spot Monitoring, Smart Brake Support and Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) with close proximity warning give drivers an added boost of confidence when transporting loved ones. The 2017 CX-5 is currently available in Mazda dealerships nationwide.
